I’m interested in finding the history of this area of Buckhead. Although it’s a pretty broad question with a general interpretation, it’ll help me through the exploration of this specific area, and I’ll be able to narrow it down even further. How did it come to be? Who founded it and when? Why is it called “Buckhead”; does it relate to an event, a person’s name or the land? Why is it the riches area in Georgia? In order to answer these questions, I’ll have to do a little research. I can books about the area of Atlanta, perhaps even Georgia. Finding topography that relates to this area and seeing how it has change over time. To understand the history of Buckhead’s popularity, I try to find out if any important figures called this place home or if any multi-million dollar companies started out here; maybe it surpasses all of that and goes back into the times of the civil war era and so on.
