For my project, I hope to capture the evolution of piedmont park from the late 1800's to the present day. Completely transforming itself over this time, the land started as a hourse racing facility with a great wall surrounding it, but it was later torn down to create the flourishing park it is today. Im hoping to incorperate small details by having a carriage drawn by horses around the stadium to show the general time period, merged with the current downtown skyline in the backround, one of the views from the park. I hope to show the nature of the park by having trees in the foregroung and going of the sides to somewhat frame the piece and show that by looking past them is not only looking into a different space but time period. Something I'm debating, do i want to overlap the time periods or layer them one behind another?
